How do I get to Dol?
EasyJet, Wizzair, Croatia Airlines and Germanwings all fly to Split international airport. From there a coach service leaves every 30 minutes to the harbor in Split town (approx 30 mins) where you can catch the ferry to Stari Grad on Hvar. Dol is a 10 minute car journey from the ferry port by taxi.
Katamaran boat goes from Split area to Jelsa town for cca 1 hour ,and then taxi drive to here is 10 minutes.We are situated in a small village inland.Dol is 20 minutes drive from Hvar Town and 10 minutes from Jelsa .Nearest town is Stari Grad 30 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive and also the closest beach.
from June 1 this year, travelers will be transported between the Split Airport and the islands of Brač (Bol) and Hvar (Stari Grad), and the city of Split with a new fast catamaran line branded as Split Express
How do I get around Hvar?
There are lots of options depending how much exploring you want to do. Cars are available for hire at Split airport and on the island.Scooters and bicycles can be hired from Stari Grad or there are also cars or boats to rent.The town of Stari Grad is a half hour walk from Dol, or a 5 minute drive. There are plenty of beautiful walks and cycle trails around Dol, and it is an ideal base from which to explore the rest of the island, especially amazing beaches like Vrboska, Rudine, Dubovica which are all within 10 to 20 minutes drive.
Ferry port is also 10 mins drive away and the main towns of the island like Jelsa and Hvar Town are 10 to 20 mins drive.
What meals are provided?
We provide breakfast in the mornings and can arrange evening meals and drinks on the request. For yoga groups evening meals are part of the retreat arrangement.
There are supermarkets in nearby Stari Grad and also restaurants for all budgets in the main towns, as well as village tavernas with a variety of seafood and grills.
